The number of Concussion treatments this year has grown in my practice. Is it the awareness and the understanding that concussions are serious? Concussions were dismissed in the past, athletes and motor vehicle accident victims were often overlooked. The ability to focus, recall and function were definitely affected. Possibility for the rest of their lives, especially without treatments. I have worked with 4 children under the age of 12 this year, who have had more than one concussion, it is an epidemic, the pressure to perform is high. I am grateful to be able to treat concussions with cranial -sacral therapy and lymphatic therapy and the results have been amazing. Children heal quickly with the proper therapy and rest. Always remember for all people with concussions rest is essential to recovery and healing. Your health is not a joke and will not be put on hold for that one last play in the game.
